Change is in the air! With the changes in the season also come big changes for Strictly Business. Our close family of staff will be two less this month as both Tanya Schultz and Jill Mathis will be leaving us. After three years, Tanya will be moving to Grand Island and Jill has accepted a full time position here in Lincoln and so will be leaving to concentrate on that career after two and a half years with us. We wish them both much success in their future endeavors and we know that while the working relationship has ended, the friendships we have developed will remain.
I am happy to say that with these changes also come some exciting developments in the company. Mercedes Meza, who joined us as an intern two years ago, will be stepping up to take over the entire art department. We are so proud of Mercedes and how much she has grown within the company!! She will be hiring on some new interns for the art department and we are excited to help develop some more local young talent. I am confident that the magazine will be in great hands under Mercedes and we encourage all of our readers to offer her their congratulations and suggestions for the look and layout of the publication. We’re also pleased that Sonny Hill, who recently resign his position as a salesperson, has rejoined our team part time to help out with special events. We are so glad to have you back, Sonny!
In closing, I believe this quote perfectly sums up our magazine and what we are about: If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies. ~Author Unknown
