Benefit Professionals, Inc. has been servicing clients in the Midwest Region since 1989 and is licensed in 15 states. The firm represents all major insurance carriers while brokering group benefits coverage. Insurance products managed by Benefit Professionals include: fully insured and self insured medical, health savings accounts (HSA), health reimbursement arrangements (HRA), life and AD&D, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability and flexible spending accounts (Section 125.) Benefit Professionals, Inc also offers guidance with: COBRA compliance, HIPAA compliance, Medicare part D compliance, wellness programs and CHIPRA compliance. Benefit Professionals works with both large and small corporations, constantly exploring new avenues for insurance products in a proactive effort to combat rising healthcare costs and react to changes in rules and regulations in the insurance industry.
Who are the owners/important executives? - Michael Bailey, President, founded the company in 1989. Current management team consists of Chris Costello – Vice-President, Lori Fischer – Account Manager and Lisa Daniels – Account Manager.
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? - Benefit Professionals realizes the companies we serve deserve personalized service. A lot of employers are not aware of all of the compliance requirements that exist when offering a group medical plan. More employee notification requirements have been added over the past several years and we are anticipating new ones to come with Health Care Reform. As their broker, our clients can rely on us to keep them completely informed and hold their hands throughout the process. All team members are dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional support and service on a day to day basis.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? - Benefit Professionals believes in supporting the communities in which we do business in and are members of several Chambers of Commerce – Omaha, Lincoln, Sarpy County, La Vista, Fremont, Council Bluffs, The State Chamber and the US Chamber. Benefit Professionals has staff members that are active in these chambers as committee members, and Lori also serves on the La Vista Chamber Board of Directors.
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – Health Care Reform will have a major impact in our business within the next five years and we are committed to educating our clients of how these changes may impact their business.
